Steve Huffman was born and raised in the suburbs of Birmingham, AL. In 1992, Steve decided to pack up and move to our great City of New Orleans where he began his career with Brice Building Company as a carpenter helper. While working with Brice, Steve attended the Associated Builders and Contractors carpentry school and after 4 years, graduated the top of his class, and received the Golden Hammer Achievement Award.
Steve was able to quickly rise up throughout the ranks of multiple companies, earning an award for his dedication to his work, and eventually landing back at Brice as Superintendent. Steve completed many projects throughout these years ranging from new hotels and new parking garages to large interior renovations for both private owners and medical facilities.
In 2013, Steve jumped at the opportunity to join Keith and Kevin Clement to start Clement Building Company. Steve is now the General Superintendent at Clement Building Company overseeing multiple projects with multiple superintendents. A few notable projects with Clement Building Company would be the addition to the Ochsner Surgery Center in Elmwood, Children’s Hospital Renovations, and work within six major hospitals in the Greater New Orleans Area.
Steve and his wife of 28 years have two children, Ashley and Isaac. Steve is a dedicated father and grandfather who has always enjoyed spending time with his children, from coaching his children’s sports teams to now working with his son at Clement.
